This disc contains material for the serious collector of Old Time Music. As we dig deeper into the archives we find more acoustic recordings with poorer sound quality. We also find rare electrical recordings that are more worn and have more background noise than we would like. There is value to this rare and obscure music but it often takes a greater effort to listen to these recordings. This is the case for a number of tracks on the Thompson, Reneau and Whitter albums.
