This CD-R of MP3s contains 239 Early Bluegrass Recordings from the 1940s & 1950s. These recordings were made
by regional artists for local independent labels. Artists on this compilation include The Kelleys, the Franklin
Brothers, Toby Stroud, The Hamm Brothers, Rebe and Rabe, The Bailey Brothers, The Church Brothers, the Rambling Mountaineers and many,
many other delightful groups. In general, these recordings have more of a folk music quality, a little grittier
and not as slick as Bluegrass has become. Lots of familiar and not so familiar tunes and songs that you will
enjoy listening to for years to come. Due to extreme rarity a few tracks are noisier than one might expect.
